July 2021 BREAKING NEWS from Pip Harry and Mark Carthew

 From alumni Pip Harry, we hear that her May Gibbs residency novel entitled  Are You There, Buddha? has just been published by Hachette, who describe the YA  novel as 'a fresh, funny and very contemporary take on puberty, first periods and relationships ...  from the author of The Little Wave, winner of the Children's Book Council of Australia 2020 Book of the Year Award for Younger Readers.'

And from our first 2021 alumni Mark Carthew, we learn that his book
The Thing That Goes Ping! has been shortlisted in the 2021 Speech Pathology Australia Book of The Year Awards (Five - 8 years category). Award winners will be announced on Friday October 29th. 
Says Mark: 'Crossing fingers, toes & noses… and all things with some zing!'
