Expressions of interest from creatives, librarians and teachers
If you have a passion and understanding for Australian Children’s Literature, the Trust is keen to appoint new members to its judging panel.
For more than 20 years the Trust has honoured May Gibbs through Creative Time
Residential Fellowships to support the careers of a wide range of contemporary authors and illustrators of books for babies through to young adults, reflecting the wide diversity of the Australian culture and environment.
Each year the Selection Committee chooses 6-8 established creatives (authors and/or illustrators) in children’s literature for 4-week Residential Creative Fellowships in Adelaide.
The Selection Committee also chooses one emerging creative for a 3-week Ian Wilson Memorial Fellowship residency in Adelaide.
Applications for both awards are received by the MGCLT Fellowships’ Coordinator and are sent to each member of the Selection Panel for judging.
Expressions of interest should be directed to the Fellowships’ Coordinator – Samantha Rubenhold - contact@maygibbs.org.au
The Fellowships’ Coordinator is also happy to answer any questions you may have about the judging process.
